Harmony in Motion
The Connection Between Body and Mind Through Movement
Discover How Harmony in Motion Connects Body and Mind
Harmony in Motion is our integrative exercise concept rooted in somatic techniques that offer a deeper understanding of the connection between body and mind.Enhances Body Awareness
Harmony in Motion is a holistic approach aimed at reducing tension and stress through gentle, coordinated body movements, conscious breathing, and focused attention.
Reduces Stress and Tension
Techniques such as Mindfulness Yoga help cultivate the practice of letting go, thereby reducing stress and tension while simultaneously building resilience to stress.
Eases Chronic Pain
Through mindful movement, breathing, and awareness, one can release tight muscles, stiffness, and chronic patterns of tension. Mindful movement, along with holding certain relaxing positions for longer periods, helps release tension stored in specific body structures known as fascia. By releasing the fascia, chronic muscular tension and pain may gradually diminish.
Promotes Mental Focus and Calm
Letting go of mental tension means releasing negative thoughts, preoccupations, or limiting beliefs that constrain both body and mind. This brings a sense of freedom and inner calm.
Improves Sleep Quality
By relaxing the nervous system and reducing stress, these somatic techniques support deeper, more restorative sleep.
The Harmony in Motion Concept
Unlike the DNS in Motion concept, which approaches the body through precise biomechanical stabilization and motor control, the Harmony in Motion concept emphasizes movement awareness, the inner connection between body and mind, and the release of tension through relaxation and fluidity.
The Art of Conscious Movement
The AEQ Method is a learning process that develops awareness of one’s own body. Through consciously performing simple movements—shortening and lengthening muscles—we re-educate our neuromuscular system to change movement patterns and habits that disrupt the body’s balance. At the same time, we reduce tension and increase awareness of the signals our body is sending us.
This method aligns body and mind through a deeper understanding of the fundamental physical laws that shape the structure and function of our body. By connecting our goals, emotional maturity, and psychophysical abilities, we achieve a state of balance that is reflected in our daily decisions and interactions with the environment.
Motion Lab Mindfulness Yoga
Yoga has long been recognized as a practice that brings numerous benefits to both body and mind. At Motion Lab, we understand that achieving and maintaining health is the result of a synergy between various factors. That’s why we created Motion Lab Mindfulness Yoga – a unique program that combines ancient yoga techniques with principles of modern kinesiology, neuroscience, and mindfulness.
A special part of our classes is dedicated to conscious breathing, where you’ll learn how different breathing patterns influence your body and mental state. Through the practice of presence, you’re invited to leave behind your daily concerns—at least for an hour—and allow your (amazing) body to do what it was naturally designed to do, free from the grip of everyday mental tension.
Our sessions also emphasize mindful movement and postural stability. Through carefully structured exercises, you’ll develop strength, flexibility, and movement control, while simultaneously reducing tension and stress. Each session is an opportunity to reconnect with your body, free your mind from daily burdens, and adopt practical techniques that can be applied well beyond the yoga mat.

Questions and answers
01Who can practice AEQ exercises?
AEQ exercises are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Thanks to an individualized approach, these exercises can be tailored to the specific needs and goals of each person, making them accessible to everyone – from beginners to experienced practitioners, athletes, and even those with physical limitations or injuries.
02How effective are AEQ exercises for improving breathing?
AEQ exercises are particularly effective for improving breathing, as they focus on better control of the core muscles and diaphragm. This approach enables deeper and more efficient breathing, which enhances the body’s oxygen supply, increases energy levels, and improves mental clarity and focus.
03What types of problems can the AEQ method solve?
The AEQ method can help address various issues such as chronic pain in the back, neck, hips, or knees, poor posture, breathing problems, stiffness, and limited mobility. Additionally, it is effective in alleviating symptoms caused by stress and prolonged tension in the body, helping to restore balance and relaxation.
04What is the difference between traditional yoga and Motion Lab Yoga?
Traditional yoga is a broad concept that encompasses many aspects, but at its core, it represents a path aimed at self-realization. At Motion Lab, we don’t focus on self-realization — we’ll leave that to other experts. Instead, we provide what we specialize in: knowledge of movement, complemented by experience and insights into how mental processes and the nervous system influence the development of various issues in the locomotor system.
Without delving into the philosophy of yoga, we’ve selected certain elements from it — such as asanas (body postures), breathing exercises, and yoga’s understanding of mindfulness and focused attention — and enriched them with modern scientific knowledge. We’ve wrapped all of that into the framework of our own philosophy, and our mission is to offer it to everyone who wants to practice yoga based on modern kinesiological principles, giving the body and mind what they need, without the fear of injuries that unfortunately are all too common in many yoga studios.
05What benefits can I expect from ML Yoga?
Each yoga class begins with breathing exercises and body awareness. This helps shift attention away from the busyness of everyday life, encourages a sense of relaxation and inner calm, and leads to a reduction in stress levels and its harmful effects on the body.
Then, through mobility exercises and muscle strengthening combined with stretching, we work on reducing pain in the body — especially in the spine area.
Finally, at the end of each class, guided relaxation exercises allow for the integration of everything learned during the session, helping you carry those benefits with you beyond the walls of the studio and into your everyday life.
06Who is ML Yoga intended for?
Our yoga is intended for anyone who wants to provide both their body and mind with the benefits we've described. It doesn’t matter how old you are, how much you weigh, whether or not you can touch your toes (or any other part of your body), or whether you’re a woman or a man.
Although our classes are held in groups, they are also individualized — meaning they are adapted to each participant, regardless of their physical condition or previous yoga experience.
